The internet is full of videos of homeowners installing their own electrical panels, and it looks like a doable weekend project. In Ontario, the legal reality is different — the Ontario Electrical Safety Authority regulates who is permitted to perform certain kinds of electrical work, and panel replacement is one of the tightly-regulated categories.
